Dear Members:

The BC Energy Policy Development Task Force has just issued its Interim Report at www.em.gov.bc.ca/EnergyPolicytaskforce.

Along with 4 other IPABC Directors and Sponsors, I will be meeting with the Task Force today. We will give some initial feedback on the Interim Report and reinforce the Policy Recommendations made in the IPABC's November 1 submission.

However, the IPABC should, and the Task Force invites, more substantive feedback on the Interim Report. The Final Report will go to the Minister of Energy on February 15, 2002.

To that end please consider doing two things:

1. Please email me your comments on the Interim Report.
2. Plan to attend the IPABC's Conference on Thursday, January 24, 2002. A significant part of it will focus on making recommendation on BC Electricity Policy prior to the issuance of their Final Report 3 weeks later.
